1999
Walt Nicholson Invitational Photo Hunt
Saturday August 28, 1999
Well,
it's a wrap. What a weekend! The weather held out and
people came out to play. I couldn't have asked for a
better b'day present.
The Photo Hunt was a great success, thanks to everyone's
participation, we raised $750 for BC's Children's Hospital.
Not bad!! Oh, I can't forget the special donation that
one of the teams brought in - a 4' tall "Taz"
doll... he's going to live at the hospital.
To see what everyone was talking about, check out the
photo hunt results. The pictures are hilarious!
Thanks again to all those people who made my weekend
a great one.

Results:
We
had 11 teams participate and it was close. 20 points
separated the top 3 teams. The clues were all over the
map and I think, for the most part, fairly easy. The
previous record of 550 points was broken by many teams!!!
Congratulations to "Team Natasha" in their
1999 Photo Hunt victory. This marks the 3rd different
winner in as many years. As well, congratulations to
all the first year teams, including the rest of the
top 3 places - all newcomers! Next year's hunt (yes,
there will be a millennium edition of the photo hunt)
will be even bigger and better. In no small part due
to Jim Gibson's coverage of the hunt in his column in
the Times Colonist - thanks Jim :). |
